Glorifying God...Conforming to Christ...Reaching the Lost

Need God?

The message we want to share is that the responsibility of every person is to glorify God our Creator. To do that, we first need to know Him; not just know about Him, but know Him personally. Through Jesus Christ, God has made a way for us to have a personal relationship with Him. We want everyone to know that they can have a personal relationship with God. Here is how:

1. Recognize your need for Him.

Romans 3:23 says, All have sinned and fallen short of God’s holy standard.
No one is sinless; therefore, no one can enter heaven. God is holy and can’t allow us in our sin to be near Him. So, in our sin we can’t have a personal relationship with Him.

2. Recognize the penalty of sin

Romans 6:23 says, the penalty for sin is death but God’s gift to us is eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Since all have sinned and sin can’t enter heaven, then everyone who is still in their sin will spend eternity away from God in Hell. But, God offers a way for everyone to have their sins removed.

3. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The verse we just read said God offers a gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. A gift is something you don’t work for, but is given out of love. You can’t earn this gift, and God offers it by His love.
Romans 5:8 God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
The penalty of sin is still death but Jesus Christ died for us. This means you can be saved; but as we mentioned earlier, it is more than just believing it. You need to accept His death for you.

4. Accept Christ’s death for your sins.

Just like you must accept a gift that is offered to you, you must accept His death that is offered for you.
Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Christ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. This is more than just a belief in God, it is trusting Him and Him alone for your salvation. We need to stop trying to save ourselves, because we can’t do it, and allow Christ’s death and resurrection to give us salvation, because only He can.
A simple prayer for salvation goes something like this, “Lord, I know that I am a sinner and can’t save myself. I know that Jesus died for me on the cross. Today, I accept Christ’s death for my sins. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Amen.”
